HOW TO LOOK STYLISH AT THE OFFICE

Obviously qualities like professionalism, ambition and innovative ideas will get you far, but what you wear also makes a major impact on your success. It's always hard to keep it stylish in your workplace, but don't forget that powerful women have a strong voice and it should be heard, even at the office.

I tried to figure out some ways to take your work ensembles to the next level. Black, white and gray is always the safest option, but it shows absolutely no character. Inject colour into your look by wearing a blouse that is not just a plain canvas. Stripes is a great way not only to add some color but also to make your figure appear slimmer. Details like a feminine bow tie or statement sleeves could transform an outfit.

If you want to look fashionable, choose a dress with an interesting pattern. Of course keep it professional, and go for a knee lenght dress. If it's too bodycon for your taste, you can always wear a blazer over it.

If you think that when it comes to pants there are limited options, then think twice. A high-waisted cigarette pair of pants will make your body look thinner and taller, and if you wear a statement blouse it will totally become very fashionable. On the other hand, if it's appropriate for your workplace (like fashion or marketing companies) you could spice up your outfit with leather pants and soften it a bit with a white chiffon blouse. And if you want to keep your style updated, culottes is one of the latest trends -it's something very professional, yet fashionable to wear.

When it comes to skirts, there are plenty of stylish choices, you just have to make it work. Find what really suits your sense of style and your body as well. Go for a knee lenght skirt to keep it strict, but give it a modern twist based on the patern, the texture or the cut.

Blazers is a necessity. I think it's one of the most worn items in an office wokplace. So why not taking advantage of it, and make it count? Capes are not only a trend lately, but they also turn every outfit into sophisticated and classy. If it's not your cup of tea, simply choose a blazer in color, maybe one with details like leather sleeves or an interesting cut.
