We all adore plaid shirts. They add just a tad of grunge attitude even to the most feminine outfit. You can wear it as a shirt, as a dress or tie it around your waist -which is the trend of the year.
If you wanna limit the rock touch, then the rest of the outfit should be totally girly chic. A long dress with heels would be perfect. But if you wanna maintain the grunge mood, all you have to do -or actually wear- is ripped jeans, sneakers or even better leather ankle boots, tees with band logos (Nirvana ftw), chain necklace and leather jacket. For a boho look, just buy the shirt one size bigger, add lots of golden accessories and create an updo hairstyle. Mix and match patterns and fabrics, it's totally acceptable.

I love the olson's look and the red plaid shirt with the black leggings. I wish I were young enough to tie my plaid shirt around my waist, but I'm not. I do remember doing that in high school though! LOL! What is old is always new again.
ReplyDeleteI don't really think that you couldn't support an outfit like that!
DeleteStyle doesn't count age :D
Also fashion is made to become unfashionable, and then fashionable again :P
