The most fanatic fashionista, every girl's icon. Barbie has captured the imaginations of generations of little girls, but now the doll's creator, Mattel Inc, is hoping that she will inspire a whole new age group with its trilogy of ready-to-wear collaborations.
American brands Lord & Taylor, Wildfox and Forever 21 have all signed up to create collections inspired by the perennially chic and coordinated fashion icon's wardrobe from the Fifties, Eighties and Nineties respectively. Available from September 6, the collections reaffirm what we already know: Barbie just doesn't get old.
